On Sunday, February 3, The Monmouth Festival of the Arts held its annual Student Art Competition featuring work of high school juniors from throughout Monmouth County. The top prizes went to Artemis Tapliga (right) taking first place for her pencil work entitled The Runaway. Second place (center) went to Brandon Nicolas of Long Branch High School for his charcoal self portrait on wood. Wall High’s Bridget Foster (left) took third place for her pencil entitled, Screaming Girl. The top three winners won cash prizes and tickets to the Monmouth Festival of the Arts which takes place from Saturday, April 13 through Wednesday, April 17, where their work will be prominently displayed.
